eBay

One thing I have learned in life that for many things I am somewhat behind the times. Last night I was perusing the world wide web and I found myself on eBay of all places, well I decided to look and see if anyone was selling an ARC copy of the newest Vicky Bliss novel by Elizabeth Peters. The title is "Laughter of the Dead Kings" and is reported to be the last VB novel Mrs. Peters plans to write. Not only that, but ARC (advance readers copy) books are generally more valuable because there are so few of them (comparatively). As luck would have it, there was a copy in my price range, I was shocked! So I bid on it! Bidding in on Monday night. I'm not going any higher than what I have right now, so we will see.

Here is the thing... this book is the first eBay item I have ever bid on! I know, I know, I'm a little behind the times. I purchased one other item on eBay in the past, but that was a Buy Now item. So this is exciting. It I win that will be cool, and it will actually be cheaper than waiting for the book to come out and buying it at B&N (even with shipping)! If I don't win, hey at least I can say I've used eBay now!
